Methodology

How Fair Score is calculated

A Fair Score is a weighted rating, not a simple average. The working is shown on every company profile.

  1. 40%

    01

    Last 90 days

Recent experience carries more weight than an older rating.

  2. 25%

    02

    Verified path

Invited and purchase reviews count more than organic submissions.

  3. 20%

    03

    All-time average

Longer history still matters, without dominating the score.

  4. 15%

    04

    Volume confidence

A small sample does not speak with the same authority as a large one.

Verification path

Verified purchase. A receipt, booking, or policy number that matches the company.

Invited review. The company sent a unique link after a completed job. Recipients cannot be filtered after the fact.

Organic. Written without an invitation. Published in full, weighted more lightly.

Company replies

Claimed listings may publish one public reply without editing the original review. Reply rate and typical response time appear on the profile.

Frequently asked questions

Can a company pay for a higher Fair Score?

No. Reviewfair does not sell score placement or hide negative reviews behind a paywall.

How do you stop spam reviews?

A review is not published until the writer opens a unique confirmation link sent to their email. They can optionally create an account after that, then sign in next time or continue as a guest and confirm by email again.

What is an invited review?

A unique link sent after a completed purchase or job. The business cannot choose which customers are allowed to write.

How do businesses appear on Reviewfair?

Reviewfair administrators create listings. The business can then claim the profile, reply to reviews, send invitations, and embed a website badge.
